Abidin Guckiran...

Thus, as someone who has learned both the fashion of that day and the intricacies of the profession, he returns to his hometown Gaziantep. He starts his own tailor shop when he was just 26 years old. At that time, he started a new era in men's clothing in Gaziantep.
Guckiran stated that he started to apply the fashion in Gaziantep, which he followed and mastered in Istanbul. Although it was very difficult to get it accepted at first, he started to sew more modern models instead of classical ones. In time, he changed the understanding in fashion in Gaziantep. He expresses his concerns with the future of his profession; "While nearly 5 thousand people were working in tailoring in Gaziantep, mass production of the ready-made clothing sector started to reach people, with the stores opened one after another. That caused the tailoring profession to disappear gradually, today only 50 people are trying to keep this profession alive, most of them could not resist the investments made and they are already started repairing the products, which are purchased from fabricated brands.”
